Glacial Water
The Matanuska Glacier, located about 100 miles northeast of Anchorage, Alaska, is a 27-mile-long and 4-mile-wide glacier in the Matanuska Valley. It is one of the most accessible glaciers in North America, reachable via the scenic Glenn Highway, which is designated as a National Scenic Byway.
This glacier offers various guided tours, including hiking and ice climbing. Notable for its striking blue ice, crevasses, and seracs, the Matanuska Glacier is fed by the Chugach Mountains and contributes to the Matanuska River.
